AI in Employment: An On-Demand Webinar

By Vorys

Even if your business hasn’t formally implemented AI, odds are that your employees are already using it. And, based on recent trends, you’ll most likely be implementing at least one application with AI components soon.

Chaz Billington, a partner in the Vorys labor and employment group and member of the firm’s AI strategy team, hosted an on-demand webinar titled “AI in Labor and Employment.” The webinar provides an overview of what business leaders, in-house counsel, human resources professionals and others need to know about AI and its role in labor and employment decisions. He provides an overview of key things retailers should consider when selecting and implementing AI products including:

  • Bias/discrimination testing
  • Internal compliance and training
  • Creating governance policies
  • Understanding state and federal AI laws
  • Evolving legal precedents

In the webinar, you’ll also learn about pending cases involving AI and employment issues; including a case with claims of employment discrimination by an AI applicant tracking system and another with claims that an AI product unfairly rejected a qualified applicant because it failed to accommodate the applicant's disability.
